Your Turn

10.02.10
Mr Business Manager and I had a meeting yesterday to discuss getting our evil paws on more older back catalogue releases to add to the site - a process that is always harder and longer than you'd think but one that always brings a smile to our faces and we hope yours. Apart from what we hope will be some exciting additions for the site we were regaled with a bunch of stories about characters that once and in some cases still do inhabit the world of the NZ Recording Industry which is always fascinating.
I am excited at yesterday's news of the new Pig Out album (fanboy hat on), I knew they had one on the way but was pleasantly surprised to see it is so close... What are you looking foward to?
I'm not so excited about the state of the local showings in this weeks sales charts, not enough Green is my take... time of year no doubt but still a poor showing for the locals from the music buyers out there. Glee freaks me out so please be keeping it local this week.
Song For the Day
Amie - Clair de Lune
Debussy composed Claire de Lune as the 3rd movement from his 1890 piano Suite Bergamasque. It was inspired by and named after poet Paul Verlaine's poem of the same name. In this by Amie arrangement/adaptation Debussy's melody for Claire de Lune is set to the lyrics of the original poem that inspired it, forming a song. Inspired by Stephenie Meyer's book/movie Twilight - Claire de Lune is Edward and Bella's favourite classical piano piece.
