[press release]
With their new studio album due for release on April 26 2010, The Phoenix Foundation has announced a design competition which gives their fans the chance to create a design for their official merchandise.
The winning design will be printed on a new range of tea towels and T shirts, which will then be available through the band's website and on their 'Buffalo' Album Release Tour in May.
The competition winner will also receive a 'Golden Buffalo' collectors edition album pack (which includes a signed copy of the album and a limited edition vinyl pressing), four tea towels and T-shirts, tickets to their shows in May, AND a $100 gift voucher for art supplies.
The competition is open to absolutely anyone: lovers, fighters, administrators, mathematicians, taxidermists... the winning work will be the most stunning/amazing/endearing piece according to a panel of six hairy men with a vested interest. So set out to stun, amaze, and endear, and be in to win!
For full details please visit The Phoenix Foundation's website: www.thephoenixfoundation.co.nz. The closing date for entries is Wednesday 14 April at 5pm.
All entries will be displayed on the band's website, and the winner will be chosen soon after.
The Phoenix Foundation's long awaited studio album 'Buffalo' will be released in New Zealand on 26 April 2010. The free download of the first single (and title track), 'Buffalo', is no longer on offer, but there will be an opportunity to listen to more tracks from the album before the official release date.
