Shapeshifter Summer Tour Announced

Shapeshifter Summer Tour Announced

[Press Release] 7 October 2010

On Thursday the 5th of August, tickets went on pre-sale for Coromandel Gold, headlined by local legends Shapeshifter. Less than thirty six hours later, the event's ticket allocation had entirely sold-out, without even reaching public release.

Now, we are proud to present an equally anticipated series of shows, Shapeshifter's much lauded annual summer tour.

One of the most high energy live acts in the country and a genuine internationally recognised musical phenomenon in their own right, Shapeshifter return to the summer arena after a year of impressive successes here and abroad.  Having wowed crowds across the Pacific, Asia, Europe and the UK with their signature sound, 2010 also saw Shapeshifter internationally release System Is A Remix, an album of remixes from top NZ and UK producers through iconic English label Hospital Records.

For these performances, Shapeshifter will be warmed up by an equally well regarded figure, Ladi6 - New Zealand's leading hip hop soul artist. Performing with Parks and Julien Dyne, Ladi6 will deliver the infectious stage show which has just seen her complete over sixty shows across Europe, opening for the likes of Gil Scott-Heron and Mos Def.

DJ support on all shows will be handled by outdoor summertime favourites, Queenstown's Sunshine Soundsystem.

Capacity at all events will be strictly limited, please purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
