In association with ZM, Yealands Estate Wine and grabaseat, Explore NZ & ARK present Live at the Islands

Take some stunning island locations, add New Zealand's top musicians, mix in some great conservation causes, garnish with sun and serve up one amazing kiwi summer experience....

The spectacular Urupukapuka Island, Bay of Islands and Motutapu Island in the Hauraki Gulf are the settings this summer for a series of seven concerts for conservation.

The stellar line up includes this year's Best Solo Female Artist Tui winner Anika Moa, Nathan Haines and the Dream Band, Minuit, the Jordan Luck Band, Autozamm, Don McGlashan, Kirsten Morrell, Salmonella DJ Soundsystem, The Topp Twins, Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra and many more.

ARK concerts support local conservation projects and at Urupukpuka we are supporting Project Kiwi Care a major contributor to Bay of Islands conservation initiatives including Project Island Song. This is a major ecological restoration programme. They plant trees and release rare and endangered birds back onto the islands, helping restore the Bay of Islands to its former natural glory.

The Motutapu Restoration Trust is the project we want to shout about at the Motutapu gig. Teams of passionate volunteers are ensuring that this jewel in the Hauraki Gulf becomes New Zealand's largest island sanctuary We think what they have been doing is pretty special, so we are proud to be supporting them via the Live at the Islands events.

Both islands are now pest free, so we ask that you show your support for the conservation efforts, not only by attending the concerts, but by adhering to the Leave No Trace philosophy. Don't litter. Use the recycle bins provided and respect the environment we are lucky enough to be having fun in!

Concert-goers should head to the concerts early and enjoy the beautiful beaches, historic and archaeological walks, swimming, snorkelling and kayaking, before grabbing refreshments at one of the fully licensed bars. Then kick back and enjoy the sounds of some of New Zealand's finest musicians til sunset.

Those with more energy can party into the night with the ZM Afterparty on the Beach. Full details of line ups, timings and transport options can be found at www.arkpresents.co.nz
