AWME And WOMEX Applications Open

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS TO BE A DELEGATE AT AWME

AWME is the Australasian World Music Expo. The Expo is held in Melbourne in November (17-20) and is attended by hundreds of international delegates and artists for four days of showcases, discussion panels and events by artists from Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.

New Zealand music managers who are representing a New Zealand artist/group that has previously showcased at AWME may apply provided they: 

  • Are a professional, New Zealand-based manager or self-managing artist
  • Clearly identify Australia and Asia as markets for the work being represented and have an international market plan to support this
  • Are in a position to consider any reasonable touring invitations that may arise
  • Have a high quality website and press kit including DVD footage and images
  • Are available to attend AWME from 17 - 20 November with no date restrictions

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS TO BE A DELEGATE AT WOMEX

WOMEX is the World Music Expo. This Expo is the most important international professional market of world music. Over 2000 delegates and 1,360 companies attend from 94 countries. The Expo is held in Copenhagen, Denmark in October (26-30).

The market has a focus on contemporary music in the world, roots, reggae, dub, contemporary soul and traditional forms.

Previous New Zealand managers who have attended include Rebecca Caughey (Ladi6), Sol de Sully (Moana and the Tribe) and Hayley Dingwall (Electric Wire Hustle).

Who can apply?

  • New Zealand music managers who are representing an international-level New Zealand artist/group that may apply provided they:
  • Are a professional, New Zealand-based manager or self-managing artist
  • Clearly identify one or more of the WOMEX target markets for the work being represented and have an international marketing plan to support this
  • Are in a position to consider any reasonable touring invitations that may arise
  • Have a high quality website and press kit including DVD footage and images
  • Are available to attend WOMEX from 27 - 30 October with no date restrictions. (26 October is a set-up day.)
