Rhythm And Vines Sideshow Scheduled For Auckland

Rhythm And Vines Sideshow Scheduled For Auckland

In a tantalising taste of what's to come for summer, New Zealand's award winning music festival Rhythm and Vines is holding a special sideshow in Auckland this September.

R&V Soundcheck will see an international electro and dubstep line-up including Diplo, Katy B, Magnetic Man, Digitalism (DJ set) and New Zealand's very own Ruby Frost perform live at Vector Arena on Thursday 29 September.

While in keeping with the R&V flavour, organisers say the Soundcheck line-up differs from the soon-to-be-announced line-up for this year's Rhythm and Vines in Gisborne - so expect interest in both to be huge!

R&V ticket holders will have first dibs on tickets for the Auckland gig - a good reason to get your R&V festival ticket now.

Only $89 through http://www.ticketmaster.co.nz, tickets go on sale to R&V ticketholders next Thursday 28 July, before being released to the public on 29 July. Buy your R&V ticket before 12pm midday 27 July to be eligible for Soundcheck pre-sales!

With less than a month to go until the R&V line-up is announced, organisers say they're almost done putting the finishing touches on what will be a killer line-up for the three day Gisborne festival.

An unprecedented uptake on R&V pre-sales has led to more than 12,000 tickets being sold to date, exceeding the organisers expectations by far.

With half the tickets already gone before launch, R&V program director Hamish Pinkham expects this year's festival to sell out in record time, and urges those wanting to join their mates in Gisborne this year to "get in now".

Watch out for the official launch of Rhythm and Vines 2011 on Thursday 17 August when this year's line-up will be announced. Available through http://www.gotix.co.nz, R&V tickets will be available to online database members exclusively on the line-up announcement day, while the general public will have to wait an extra day before being able to purchase their tickets. The ideal base for festival-goers, Gisborne's BW Campgrounds is once more tracking for an early sell-out with more than 10,000 spots gone and only a few thousand to go. Sending BW ticket sales back into overdrive, the Campgrounds has just announced of its own stellar line-up of mostly local artists including Borgore (Israel), Katchafire, MC TIKI (Tiki Taane) & Dick 'Magik' Johnson, P-Money, Bulletproof, Tim Richards, PNC and Homebrew.

Kicking off 27 December, the campground's festival within a festival operates in and around R&V with warm-up shows, daytime shows and late night after parties.
